Vital Resources have been a HVCA Affiliate Member and Accredited Trainer since 2000 and in late 2006 the HVCA asked us if we could take on and provide the Self Certificate Training Course in association with BESCA to train both HVCA members & non members, enabling the trained to self certificate there installation work in line with the Part L of the regulations towards energy efficiency.
Vital Resources are always looking for ways to improve the services we provide to our clients and as our experienced Bristol office already had a Training Division offering IPAF Scissor Lift, Boom and Harness training (which now also includes Incident & Injury Free training), the decision was made to invest in our staff and clients by having Scott Crump trained and Authorised by the HVCA to deliver the BESCA Self Certification Course.

The (http://www.besca.org.uk) is of particular significance to the Heating and Ventilation sector, as it allows those trained to self certify and inspect on a range of issues surrounding energy efficiency and fuel conservation under Part L of the regulations.
Scott Crump, on behalf of Vital Resources was able to put this additional service into practice with immediate effect with a local leading Heating Contractor (Thames Valley Heating), by training their Directors and Managers.
Phil Warwick – Director of Thames Valley Heating said the following -
“As a Mechanical contracting company we have found the costs involved with dealing with local authority to be a costly, but by utilising the services of Vital Resources in the training of our management to be, not just cost effective, but also a valuable tool in possibly securing future work. The training provided allows us, as a registered company with BESCA to self certify our own mechanical installation works and to comply with current building regulations. This training was provided by Vital at very short notice for which we found to be very helpful and time effective for our business needs”
